Technical Service Bulletin Workshop findings: The following DTC may be stored in the instrument cluster, J285 (address word 0017): • DTC B200FF0 (Internal malfunction). Technical Background A software malfunction in the instrument cluster may cause the described behavior. Production Solution Optimized software in Audi virtual cockpit implemented in current series production. Service Required equipment: • ODIS Tester. • SVM code. • Audi virtual cockpit software update on USB Flash drive (see Required Parts and Tools or download the software from MirrorServer using the SD Creator Program). Time to complete update: • Approximately 30-60 minutes (includes 20-50 minutes for the software update and 10 minutes for the SVM work). Service work: • Update the Audi Virtual Cockpit using either Method 1 or Method 2 according to TSB 2060523: 91 MIB3 Software Update Instructions and use SVM code 17A040. Tip: The vehicle key has to be placed on the emergency key reader coil to start and during the update. Please use the Warranty information in this TSB and not the ones stated in TSB 2060523.
