Customers complain about warning message "Engine control fault – visit workshop – Driving permitted" in
the instrument cluster.

Information
Due to the assembly process, particulates can stick to components in rare cases during production of
the double clutch transmission (PDK). As a result, there is a possibility that some control valves in the PDK
control unit can become jammed or malfunctions can occur.
Action required: In the event of a customer complaint, first clean the ATF lines and ATF cooler of the Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebes (PDK).
If the error message still exists, the PDK control unit must be replaced.

Clean the ATF cooler and ATF lines on the Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK).
For instructions, see:

Then perform a test drive. If the fault persists, the PDK control unit must be replaced.
