RCA-56-22-001-1: Insufficient Hood Adhesive
Rivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022 R1T vehicles that may have been
built with hood mastic adhesive that does not entirely bond the outer hood to the inner hood. If the outer hood
is not correctly bonded to the inner hood, fluttering may be observed while driving at speeds of 70+ mph.
Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to improve the quality of Rivian vehicles.

Procedure
1. Remove: Liner, Hood (refer to Service Manual procedure 647925010).

2. Inspect the adhesive in the paths shown. Apply additional adhesive as needed to secure the inner and
outer hood.
Note: Make sure that the adhesive is present along the entire path.

3. Wipe away all excess adhesive.
4. Reinstall all components that were removed for access.
