RCA-72-22-001-1: Passenger Airbag Harness Pinch
Condition
Rivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022 R1T vehicles that may have
been built with a pinch condition of the passenger airbag wire harness in the instrument panel. If the wires are
damaged the airbag light will illuminate, indicating a fault in the system. Rivian is launching this campaign for
customer satisfaction and for the continuous improvement of Rivian vehicles.

Procedure
1. Remove: Cover, Instrument Panel, Lower (refer to service manual procedure 641030010).

2. Make sure that no harnesses are routed forward of the airbag bracket. If necessary, route any harnesses
out of the highlighted area.
3. Reinstall all components that were removed for access.
