* * TECHNICAL INFORMATION NOTICE * * DATE: January 21, 2022 TO: Mitsubishi Motors US & Puerto Rico Dealer Service and Parts Managers RE: Odometer Calibration after Instrument Cluster/Meter Replacement TIN NO. TIN-22-54-002 AFFECTED VEHICLES: 2022 Outlander PURPOSE: When replacing an Instrument Cluster/Meter assembly in a 2022 Outlander for any reason, the meter does not need to be sent to the Instrument Cluster Store for odometer calibration. In order to calibrate the instrument cluster there is a procedure in the service manual to write the original mileage back to the Instrument Cluster/Meter assembly. Please follow the steps below: Service Manual - Vol 5 - “Meter, Warning Lamp & Indicator” After replacement of the Instrument Cluster/Meter assembly: Drive the vehicle under the following conditions. Drive the vehicle over 18.6 mph/30 kmh Drive over a distance of 0.6 miles/1km Verify original mileage is displaying on the vehicle. Info The mileage is stored in other control units such as the ABS C/U and is written to the Instrument Cluster/Meter assembly.
