This may be caused by a detached tension rope in the convertible-top compartment lid which is needed for tensioning the roof bow when the convertible top is closed. Action required: If there is a customer complaint, replace the tension rope on the left and right. Replacing tension rope Information The procedure is the same for both sides of the vehicle. Information There is a possibility that the rear seal (convertible top to convertible-top compartment lid) or the roof bow may have been damaged by the detached tension rope. These components must therefore be checked and also replaced if necessary. Work Procedure: 1 2 Remove tension rope at the bottom.
