See photo below (coolant is not bright orange and translucent). In addition to above, engine may experience an overheat condition In addition, possible degraded transmission performance including any of the following: Shudder, vibration, shake, shift performance and slipping. The transmission uid level may be low when checked. The Automatic Transmission Fluid Cooling Exchanger may have an internal leak allowing transmission uid and engine coolant to intermix contributing to the above conditions. Con rm the presence of coolant in the transmission uid using Service Bulletin # 08-07-30-035 (Information on Water Ethylene Glycol in Transmission) in SI Using 08-07-30-035 as a guide repair or replace the transmission assembly following SI Replace the Automatic Transmission Fluid Cooling Exchanger Thoroughly Flush the Engine Coolant System to remove the contaminated engine coolant following SI. Re ll the engine coolant system following SI Warranty Information For vehicles repaired under the Powertrain coverage, use the following labor operation. Reference the Applicable Warranties section of Investigate Vehicle History (IVH) for coverage information. Labor Operation 8451010 Description Automatic Transmission Fluid Cooling Exchanger Replacement. Labor Time Use published labor time.
