What is the reason for this notice?
Our records indicate that a PRODUCT UPDATE has not been completed on this vehicle (Vehicle
Identification Number XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. The current continuously variable transmission (CVT)
software does not properly monitor internal fluid pressure and detect early CVT belt failure. This can
possibly cause the vehicle not to move when accelerating. Honda is providing a product update with
new CVT software to fix this issue.
What will Honda do?
The dealer will update your vehicle's CVT software to the most current software version for FREE.
Please call any authorized Honda dealer and make an appointment to update the CVT software to the
most current software version for FREE. Once you make an appointment for your vehicle, be advised that
the total update process may take at least one day. However, your dealer can provide you with a better
estimate of the overall time for this service visit, as it may be necessary to make your vehicle available for
a longer period of time. If you are not the only driver of this vehicle, please advise all other drivers and
passengers of this important information.
California owners only
The DMV will not renew your registration until the emissions recall has been completed. After completing
the software update, your dealer must give you a Vehicle Emission Recall - Proof of Correction certificate.
Please make sure the dealer completes and gives you the certificate. Keep the certificate for your records
as proof that the emissions recall was completed. The warranty extension repair (if needed) will have no
impact on your vehicle registration. Submit the certificate to the DMV only if the DMV requests it.

Nuestros registros indican que no se ha completado una ACTUALIZACIÓN DE PRODUCTO en este
vehículo (Número de identificación del vehículo XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. El programa actual de la
transmisión continuamente variable (CVT) no monitorea adecuadamente la presión interna de fluido y no
detecta una falla prematura de la correa de la CVT. Esto puede ocasionar que el vehículo no se mueva
cuando se acelera. Honda está proporcionando una actualización de producto con el nuevo programa de
la CVT para corregir este problema.
¿Qué hará Honda?
El concesionario actualizará de forma GRATUITA el programa de la CVT de su vehículo a la versión más
actual del programa.
Por favor llame a cualquier concesionario Honda autorizado y haga una cita para actualizar de forma
GRATUITA el programa de la CVT a la versión más actual del programa. Una vez que programe una cita
para su vehículo, le avisamos que el proceso de actualización total podría tardar por lo menos un día. No
obstante, su concesionario le puede ofrecer un mejor estimado del tiempo total de esta visita de servicio,
ya que pudiera ser necesario que su vehículo esté disponible por un periodo más largo. Si usted no es el
único conductor de este vehículo, por favor informe a todos los conductores y pasajeros sobre esta
información importante.

El DMV no renovará su registro hasta que la campaña de emisiones haya sido completada. Después de
completar la actualización del programa, su concesionario debe entregarle un certificado de Prueba de
Corrección - Campaña de emisiones del vehículo (Vehicle Emissions Recall - Proof of Correction). Por
