Description of Change
The minimum reuse spark plug gap has been revised in Service Manual Procedure 013-016 in
Section 13.
Reason for Change
Symptom:
Rough running
Fault Code(s): 5895, 5896, 5897, 5898, 5899, 5911, 5911, 5911, 6413, 6425, 6426, 6427,
6428, 6429, 6431
Root Cause:
Previous reuse spark plug gap resulted in no trouble found part replacements.
Verification
Verify unit is running rough or experiencing any of the associated fault codes listed in the
Symptom section above.
See corresponding Service Manual for spark plug gap specification. Reference Procedure
013-016 in Section 13.

Reuse spark plug gap minimum limit has been reduced.
Verify the reuse spark plug gap is between the published limit specified. See corresponding
Service Manual. Reference Procedure 013-016 in Section 13.
Compare the engine control module (ECM) code and revision number in the ECM to the
calibration revision listed in the ECM calibration revision history for applicable changes. If a
calibration update for this fault code is available, the ECM calibration revision must be that
revision or higher.
