Dear Dealers,
This bulletin provides a summary of the updates available for motorcycles that have Customer
concerns about a slight elongation, over time and use, of rear brake pedal stroke. Provided
below is a reference table below where you will find:
•
•
•
•
The vehicle model and Model Year
The part number of the new brake hose connecting ABS control unit to rear brake
caliper
The part number of the new brake hose connecting ABS control unit to rear brake
master cylinder
The corrective action with relevant bulletin and CR number, where present
Always remind Customers that correct brake operation must always be checked before each
use of the motorcycle, as indicated in the Owner’s Manual, and that it is essential to have the
brake systems maintained as prescribed in the maintenance schedule, including changing the
brake fluid every 24 months.
NOTE
Regardless of the hose versions installed, it is absolutely necessary that when working on
the rear brake system, it must be bled according to the instructions set forth in the
dedicated bulletins while using the recommended brake fluid.
