Cause This condition may be caused by stick/slip effect of the posi-traction clutch plates in the RDM. Correction Flush oil from RDM and refill it: • If noise concern is present after refill, flush one more time. • If noise concern is present after two refills, replace RDM. Service Procedure Warranty Information Refer to Axle Lubricant Change and Differential Carrier Assembly Replacement in SI. For vehicles repaired under the Powertrain coverage, use the following labor operation. Reference the Applicable Warranties section of Investigate Vehicle History (IVH) for coverage information.
