Engine Oil/Oil Filter – change oil and replace filter
AdBlue Fluid – fill completely with fresh fluid (maximum capacity: 24 liters) and adapt
learned values for AdBlue tank under guided fault finding after filling fluid
Cooling System – check level, add if necessary
Engine Compartment – check for leaks
Onboard Diagnosis – check
Visual Check – check the chassis for possible paint damage and corrosion, from the
inside and outside, with the doors as well as hood and trunk lids open
Battery – check for clean terminals (no corrosion), properly mounted housing,
and no damage; replace if necessary. Also, check the acid level of battery
only if the level can be seen through the housing and fill if necessary
Small (12-volt) Side Battery – located in the trunk compartment on left side – check
for clean terminals (no corrosion), properly mounted housing and no damage; replace
if necessary
Dust and Pollen Filter – replace

(Canada) or 110K miles (USA)/165,000 km (Canada) after a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF)
replacement; check ash loading according to manufacturer’s work procedure, replace**
if necessary
Plenum Panel – remove cover for plenum panel to check water drain and
clean if necessary
Tires and Spare Wheel – c heck for wear and damage, check tire pressure, reset Tire
Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
– check for wear and damage, check tire pressure and renewal
date of tire repair set (where applicable), reset Tire Pressure
Monitoring System (TPMS)
Tires – rotate, reset TPMS
Wiper Blades – check condition and replace if necessary (USA only)
Wiper Blades – check condition (Canada only)
Wiper/Washer/Headlight Washer – check adjustment and function,
add fluid if necessary
Interior Lights – check all interior lights, glove box illumination, control lights and
MMI (if applicable)
Front Lighting – check function of parking lights, low beams, high beams, fog lights,

Rear Lighting – check function of brake lights (including third brake light), taillights,
back-up lights, rear fog lights, license plate lights, blinkers and hazard lights

Timing Belt – replace at 110K miles (175,000 km) on TTS. Check condition of timing belt tensioning system, dampening pulleys and idler pulleys, and replace if necessary
Brake Fluid – replace every 2 years regardless of mileage
Cloth Top – check function and rollover protection every 2 years regardless of mileage (A5/S5 Cabriolet and R8 Spyder only)
AdBlue Fluid – replace every 4 years regardless of miles/kilometers only if AdBlue has not been filled within the last 4 years (Q7 3.0L TDI, A8 3.0L TDI, A6 3.0L TDI, A7 3.0L TDI and Q5 3.0L TDI only)
Crash Active Headrest – check function every 2 years regardless of miles/kilometers (A8 only)
Haldex Clutch – change oil every 3 years regardless of mileage/kilometers (TT and TTS only)
*Does not include 2.0L TFSI Flex Fuel engines.
**If DPF replacement is not necessary, perform check every 20,000 miles (30,000 km) thereafter until replacement becomes necessary. Subsequent DPF replacement interval is a minimum of
120,000 miles (195,000 km) thereafter.
