Model(s) Year Q7, and Q8 2019 – 2021 SQ7, SQ8, and RS Q8 VIN Range Vehicle-Specific Equipment All Not Applicable 2020 – 2021 Condition Customer states: • The red steering warning lamp lights up in the instrument cluster. Steering assist is reduced. Workshop findings: • The complaint can be reproduced and the following DTC is logged in the power steering control unit J500 (address 0044). • B200049 with Symptom Code 7353984. Technical Background Software issue identified and corrected in production. Production Solution Gradually introduced in the assembly line starting on 2nd Quarter 2022.
