Service Technical Information 212/21 ENU 5765 5 Seal on Mirror Attachment Point Wrinkled: Replacing Spacer Between Mirror Attachment Point and Door Seal (212/21) Vehicle Type: 911 Turbo (992)/911 GT3 (992) Model Year: As of 2021 up to 2022 Concerns: Door seal on mirror attachment point Information: Customers are complaining that the door seal on the mirror attachment point wrinkles. This is caused by the lightweight shims, which are thicker and sharper than the safety glass (ESG). As a result, the door seal will spring up when the lightweight shims close. The fault type can occur on the driver's and/or passenger's side. Action required: Insert a spacer between the mirror attachment point and door seal to prevent the problem from occurring again.
