Description: This bulletin provides information on the learning procedure after IAU (Identity
Authentication Unit), IBU (Integrated Body Control Unit), and/or BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) unit(s)
replacement.
Applicable Vehicles:
Digital Key equipped Hyundai Models 2022MY or earlier.
Warranty Information:
Normal warranty applies.
Service Procedure:
1.
Collect PIN information from Hyundai Tech
Info website that will be used for
programming in later steps.
2.
Select Search Key/Pin Code after entering
VIN information and record New PIN
information.
Circulate To: General Manager, Service Manager, Sales Manager, Parts Manager, Warranty
Manager, Service Advisors, Technicians, Body Shop Manager, Fleet Repair

Connect VCI and confirm VIN has been
updated on GDS.
4.
Select SW Management.
5.
Scroll down to Identity Authentication Unit.
NOTICE
Both “IAU-IBU learning” and
“IAU-BLE learning” must be done if
replacing either IAU, IBU, or BLE
units.
6.
Select System Identification and take a
screenshot of the System Identification.

screenshot (Replacement parts should be in
Virgin State).

Select Neutralization Mode and follow
directions to neutralize both IAU & IBU.

Select IAU-IBU Learning Function and
follow the steps.

CAUTION
When performing IAU-IBU or IAUBLE learning, the digital key
information previously stored in the
vehicle is deleted.

Select IAU-BLE Learning Function and
follow the steps.
11.
Recheck the Status Information (step #7) –
both IAU/IBU should be in LEARNT.
