Symptom: Occurrence of Fault Code 8154 or 8155 No Lamp/ Silent Fault set by FC8154 or FC8155 During a firmware update of the Acumen® connectivity module FC8154 or FC8155 will become active. Following published troubleshooting of FC8155 leads to false replacement of the Acumen® connectivity module. Root Cause: Fault Code 8154 or 8155 will become active when part one of the Acumen® connectivity module firmware update completes and will stay present until the Acumen® connectivity module firmware update is completed. If troubleshooting tree is exhausted, do not replace Acumen® connectivity module. Release unit back to customer. If no root cause is identified, FC8154 or FC8155 will clear after Acumen® connectivity module has completed firmware update. This can take a few months based on the module’s cellular signal and the key cycle timing. Using the Cummins Guidanz® electronic service tool, if the Acumen® connectivity module has the new Acumen® software version, the Acumen® connectivity module must be replaced.
