Symptom/Vehicle Issue: Check Engine Light On, U0422-00 Implausible Data
Received From Body Control Module Is Active In The HCP
Discussion: The check engine light may be illuminated. Upon scanning the vehicle
DTC U0422-00 Implausible Data Received From Body Control Module Is found Active
in the HCP (Hybrid Control Processor).
Diagnosis: For PHEV RU, the HVAC Module may have been flashed with the
incorrect software. There are two possible reasons this DTC is setting. Using WiTech
2, check the HVAC Modules software level. Follow the repair guide below.
Repair 1: If the HVAC Module part number shown is 68493451AD or earlier. This part
number is not correct for PHEV vehicles. The HVAC module will need to be replaced
with a 68493454AE or later. Which is a PHEV specific HVAC module.
Repair 2: The HVAC Software is 68493454Ax, but lower than the current AE Level.
Using WiTech, update the HVAC to the latest available software level, AE or greater.
Using the Vehicles VIN number. Always reference STAR Parts prior to ordering any
parts. This will confirm you are getting the correct and latest available part number.
