Replace Vehicle Emission Certification Information Label
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves replacing the Vehicle Emission Certification Information (VECI)
Label.
Owner may be turned away from Inspection and Maintenance (IM) station or fail IM testing
because of missing emission components on VECI label.

The customer may notice that some info is missing on their VECI labels.
NOTE: Only replace the VECI label if the information shown in (Fig. 1) is missing. If
information is shown in this area, do not replace the label.
NOTE: All vehicles were built with the correct emission components installed and
there is no impact on emission performance or drivability.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Remove the old VECI label.
2. Remove residue or dirt from label location on the vehicle using isopropyl alcohol or
equivalent.
3. Install new VECI label where the old VECI label was ensuring that the label is free of
air bubbles and wrinkles and the entire label is adhered to the surface.
POLICY:
Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.
