The workshop finds the following fault present: => => Control unit: Air conditioning (BKE) Fault code: 008300 – Heater/fresh-air blower motor front – electrical fault Technical Background The air conditioning control unit (BKE) contains a current-limiting function to prevent damage to the blower motor upon cold starting the vehicle. Therefore, if the fan settings on the A/C control panel in the center console are set to a high fan speed at cold start, the current demand for the blower regulator may not be met. The BKE then misdiagnoses the current regulation as an electrical fault with the blower motor. Service Information Please update the A/C system to software version 0760: 1. Ensure that the PIWIS Tester is updated to version 41.400.020 or newer. AfterSales October 10, 2022 Page 1 of 2 8 Bulletin #: 2225.1 Advanced Technical Information Part ID: 8778 2.
