AFFECTED VEHICLES: 2022-23 Outlander and 2023 Outlander PHEV
PURPOSE:
The new Outlander is equipped with award-winning safety technology. To ensure all
technology is enabled when a customer takes initial delivery of their new vehicle, as part of the
PDI, please ensure all systems are turned ON and ENABLED.
Please pay special attention to the Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Rear Seat Alert (RSA)
systems. If you find either of these systems disabled, please perform the following steps to
enable them.
LDW system:
Push the < > button located on the steering wheel until “Settings” appears in the multiinformation display and then push the scroll dial.

Use the scroll dial to select “Driver Assistance”. Then push the scroll dial.
Select “Lane” and push the scroll dial.
Select “Warning (LDW)” and push the scroll dial – this will move the white dot to the right
indicating it is enabled.
Push the < button twice to return to the Settings menu.
RSA system:
Use the scroll dial to select “Vehicle Settings”. Then push the scroll dial.
Use the scroll dial to select “Rear Seat Alert”. Then push the scroll dial.

Use the scroll dial to select Horn & Alert. Then push the scroll dial.
Please verify that all systems are active – ensuring new vehicle owners will experience all the
features Outlander offers.
