SSM 51191 2021-2022 Mustang Mach-E, 2022 Escape/Bronco Sport/Maverick/Transit Powertrain Malfunction (Wrench) Indicator With DTC P0929:77 Stored In The GSM Some 2021-2022 Mustang Mach-E built on or before 17-Jan-2022, 2022 Escape built on or before 03Mar-2022, Bronco Sport built on or before 04-Mar-2022, 2022 Maverick built on or before 25-Jan-2022 and 2022 Transit built on or before 17-May-2022 may exhibit a powertrain malfunction (wrench) indicator with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0929:77 stored in the gear shift module (GSM). This may be due to the software in the GSM. To correct this condition, perform Pinpoint Test D. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 307-05 > Diagnosis and Testing. If the GSM is not operating correctly, perform the replacement of the GSM. Do not perform a PMI after installing a new GSM assembly. The GSM is shipped with the latest software level. For claiming, use causal part 7P155 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
