Customer states:
During braking at low speeds, a vibration/pulsation is felt at the brake pedal, and/or the brake pedal feels “different
”.
Workshop findings:
The following DTC may be stored in the ABS/ESC Control Module -J104- (address word 0003):
• DTC P05FF00 – Brake pressure sensor / Sensor for brake pedal travel deviation.

Service
1. Read out the measured value “Adaption value offset wheel brake stiffness” and upload the log to GFF Paperless.
2. If the measured value is above 5mm, replace the J104 ABS control unit and bleed the system fully according to
ELSA>>Workshop Manual>>Chassis>>Brake System>>47 Hydraulic Components>>Hydraulic
System>>Bleeding.
3. If the measured value is below 5mm, only bleed the brake system.
4. Clear DTCs in the J104 ABS/ESC control unit.
5. Re-evaluate the vehicle for improvements concerning noises and brake pedal feel. If the issue has been solved,
release the vehicle. If the complaint is still present, repeat the bleed procedure.
