Various/numerous open circuit DTC’s evident within the Engine control unit (Address 001)
Technical background
VERY IMPORTANT: Hybrid vehicles use a High voltage system and MUST only be worked on by suitably qualified
personnel
Prior to working on this vehicle the operative MUST refer to Rep.Gr 97 ensuring all safety precautions and guidelines are
adhered to
The issue described is evident on left hand drive vehicles only, in the event a similar issue is evident and the vehicle is right hand
drive the operative should raise a DISS query and await feedback before conducting any further work

Referring to the applicable Rep.Gr the operative should gain access to the location shown in Figure 2 (Underside of the dashboard left
hand side)

Check for damaged wiring/contact between the body/surrounding components and the wiring harness
In the event the issue is as described, the operative should carry out the instructions within the Measure section of this TPI
NOTE: Please be aware the wiring harness can contact the body/surrounding components however the actual symptom(s) may be different
depending on the wire(s) which are damaged/chaffed

1) Using the applicable wiring diagram, conduct wiring integrity checks to confirm the wire(s) which are damaged/chaffed
TIP: Overlaying the suspected damaged wiring can be conducted to confirm the issue, the overlayed wiring MUST NOT be left
in place, all damaged wiring MUST be repaired as per all Elsa pro guidelines
2) Referring to Rep.Gr 97 - Repair the damaged wire(s)
3) Remove all sharp edges which could damage the main wiring harness
4) Reposition and secure the main wiring harness
