Technical background
On all 2020 model year vehicles specified with a V8 engine, the Start/Stop system will function with the driver’s seat belt not fastened although
the Owners handbook states the driver’s seat belt must be fastened for the Start/Stop system to work, the system in this scenario is functioning
correctly
Due to a change to one of the system inhibits, the 2021 model year Owners handbooks will be updated to confirm the Start/Stop system will work
with the seat belt unfastened
