Cause: Incorrect method of closure used. The bonnet / hood should not be closed by standing at the side of the vehicle. Action: Content The bonnet should always be closed when standing at the front bumper of the car. Apply downwards pressure so the bonnet travels past the tension of the struts and continue to apply pressure until the bonnet latches closed. (See attached photographs for general guidance). Ensure even pressure is applied.
