Service Technical Information 185/22 ENU WNN7 2 WNN7 – Checking Fuel Tank Retaining Strap and Replace if Necessary (Workshop Campaign) Model Line: 911 (992) Model Year: As of 2020 up to 2022 Equipment: Fuel tank, 90-liter (M–no. 0I2) Concerns: Retaining strap for fuel tank Cause: On the affected vehicles, there is a possibility that a retaining strap has been installed on the fuel tank that does not meet the required specifications. If this is the case, it is not possible to rule out any perceptible noises due to the low relative movement of the fuel tank. Action required: Check retaining strap for fuel tank and replace it if necessary, depending on the result of the check. Information Please note that only 2 of a total of 282 vehicles may be affected by the installation of an incorrect retaining strap. Therefore, please order a retaining strap only if not OK. Affected Vehicles: Only vehicles assigned to the campaign (see also PCSS Vehicle Information). Information If the fuel tank shows signs of damage from the retaining strap, it must also be replaced. A picture of the wrong retaining strap and the possible damage to the fuel tank is absolutely essential and must be attached to the campaign claim. Information If the fuel tank was damaged by the wrong retaining strap, it must also be replaced. Warranty processing Information The specified working time was determined specifically for carrying out this campaign and may differ from the working time published in the Labor Operation List in the PCSS. General information on warranty processing The scope of this measure includes only checking the installed retaining strap. If the wrong retaining strap is installed, the further activities and parts and labor times required to replace it are not included in the scope and must be recorded subsequently. The incurred labor costs for scope 1 and the additional cost of parts required over and above this scope must then be invoiced using a reimbursement claim for the original campaign claim for this campaign.
