*** Dealer Stock and Retail Vehicles ***
Dealers must perform this Service Campaign on all affected vehicles prior to customer retail delivery
and whenever an affected vehicle is in the shop for any maintenance or repair.
When a vehicle arrives at the Service Department, access the "Vehicle Information” screen (VIS) via
WEBDCS to identify open Campaigns.
Description: Certain Nexo vehicles may experience a stack coolant warning light while driving.
The logic update provides real-time current sensor deviation correction.
Applicable Vehicles: Certain 2021MY Nexo (FE) vehicles produced from 3/22/2021 to 5/4/2021.

NOTE 2: If a part that is not covered by this campaign is found in need of replacement while
performing this campaign and the affected part is still under warranty, submit a separate claim using
the same repair order. If the affected part is out of warranty, submit a Prior Approval request for
goodwill consideration prior to performing the work.

The TSB repair procedure MUST be performed at an authorized Hyundai NEXO fuel cell
vehicle dealer and by a Hyundai Expert (or above level) technician who has successfully
completed the Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle Training Instructor Led Training course
(SVCHFCEVTRAIN222_1097).
Service Procedure:

Open the hood of the vehicle.
2.
Disconnect the (CSP) low voltage connector
(A) from the stack coolant pump.

The CSP connector is located just
below the stack coolant pump
outlet hose.

Attach the low voltage update cable (B) to
the connector on the stack coolant pump.
Before updating the CSP software, ensure
the cables are fully connected (C).

If the cables are not properly
fastened, then the update fault
lamp may illuminate, and the
update will fail

Ensure the vehicle is turned OFF and
remains OFF while performing this CSP
software update to avoid interruption of
the update and possible software
corruption.

Connect the power cable of the FE CSP
Software Update Tool to a 110V AC power
outlet.
Turn on the power switch (D) on the FE CSP
Software Update Tool and ensure that the
Update Ready light (E) is illuminated.
Push the Update Start button (F) twice to
begin the update.

•
The Update Running light (G) will
be illuminated during the update.
•
The update will approximately
take 3-5 minutes to complete.
The Update Finish light (H) will illuminate
when the software update is complete.
If the Update Fault light (I) illuminates,
recheck the connections and retry the
update. After retrying the update and the
fault light continues to illuminate, contact
Hyundai Techline.

Turn off the power switch on the FE CSP
Software Update Tool.
Remove the software update tool connectors
and reconnect the stack coolant pump low
voltage connector to the stack coolant pump.

The update procedure is complete.
