TOPIx - SSM70238 - XJ Heated Seats Innoperative on Integrated Control Panel Reference Models Title Category Last modified Symptom Page 1 of 1 SSM70238 XJ / X351 XJ Heated Seats Innoperative on Integrated Control Panel Electrical 29-Nov-2013 00:00:00 208000 Climate Control Issue: Heated Seats not working when selected on Integrated Control Panel (ICP) after fitting a replacement service part. Concern: When the ICP is being changed in service on vehicles fitted with CLIMATE front seats prior to VIN V54809 and have the Heated Seat button visible but disabled within the ICP (Climate Seat Controls on the HLDF still work) Cause: The latest ‘C’ level service parts cross reference the Car Configuration File (CCF) to see if the vehicle is fitted with Heated Seats. However, prior to V54809 parameter may have been defaulted to ‘Not Fitted’ on vehicles optioned with Climate Front Seats. Therefore the ICP disables the heated seat button. Action: To re-enable the heated seat button on affected vehicles the CCF parameter for Heated Seats needs to be manually changed using SDD. Content 1. With SDD connected to the vehicle a secure session must be enabled by clicking the ‘Key’ Symbol and gaining secure access by raising a TA with Dealer Technical Services (DTS). The SEED code displayed after clicking on the KEY symbol will be required by DTS to complete this request. 2. Within the ‘Service Functions’ section of SDD select the ‘Car Configuration Management – Current Vehicle Car Configuration Modification’ application. 3. After uploading the CCF file from the vehicle the current CCF will be displayed. Ensure that the ‘View all parameters’ box is ticked. Also ensuring that all CCF parameters are shown in white scroll down to ‘Heated Seats’ (If the parameter is not shown in white then secure access has not been completed, repeat the step 1 again) 4. Select the ‘Heated Seats’ parameter and change the value to ‘Fitted’ from ‘Not Fitted’ 5. When prompted download the CCF to the vehicle and follow prompts. No further editing of the CCF is required at this point. 6. Once the application has completed check the function of the heated seat button on the ICP http://topix.jaguar.jlrint.com/topix/service/archive/447234/index 12/4/2013
