Workshop findings: • The noise can be reproduced and is coming from the Brake Servo Unit (Brake Booster). Technical Background The noises are coming from the brake servo unit rubber boot. Technical Service Bulletin If noises are identified when pressing the brake pedal, proceed as follows: • Record an audio file of the complaint (ATTENTION! Try to locate the exact area of the noise, examples: end of the rubber boot area; inside the servo unit, pedal assembly, etc…). • Attach the audio file to the DOC-IT database (Include VIN Number in the file). • Replace Brake Servo Unit according to: ELSA>>Repair Manual>>Chassis>>Brake System>>47 Hydraulic Components>>Brake Booster/Brake Master Cylinder>>Brake Booster Removing/Installing. Note: Replaced Components without audio files uploaded to DOC-IT will be debited! Warranty Claim Type: • 110 up to 48 Months/50,000 Miles. • G10 for CPO Covered Vehicles – Verify Owner. • If the vehicle is outside of any Audi Warranty, this bulletin is informational only.
