One of the listed vehicles may arrive in service with the complaint of Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) Illuminated During Cold Ambient Temperatures (at or below -12C / 10F). DTCs P30C3 and/or P30BF P30C7 P30CB may be stored current or in history. Perform the SI electrical diagnostics for the associated codes. If no trouble is found in the lobe position sensors or wiring, proceed to replace the cam lobe actuators as follows: P30BF, intake cylinders 1&2 P30C3, intake cylinders 3&4 P30C7, exhaust cylinder 2 P30CB, exhaust cylinder 3 If actuators have previously been replaced and the fault returns, replace the intake camshaft (P30BF or P30C3) or exhaust camshaft (P30C7 or P30CB). Note: The Intake and Exhaust Cam Profile Actuator Solenoids are not interchangeable with each other Warranty Information For vehicles repaired under the Powertrain coverage, use the following labor operation.
