TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN Sta-Bar Disconnect Service Required Message In The Instrument Panel Cluster With DTCs C103A, C1A99, C1B03, C1B07, C1B14 And/Or B1A67 23-2006 11 January 2023 This bulletin supersedes 22-2325. Model: Ford 2021-2022 Bronco Summary This article supersedes TSB 22-2325 to update the Service Procedure. Issue: Some 2021-2022 Bronco vehicles may encounter a sta-bar disconnect service required message in the instrument panel cluster and an illuminated warning light with any of the following diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) stored in the chassis control module (CHCM): C103A, C1A99, C1B03, C1B07, C1B14 and/or B1A67. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to address water intrusion and reprogram the CHCM. Unit of Issue refers to the number of individual pieces included in a service part number package. Piece Quantity refers to the total number of individual pieces required to repair the vehicle. As Needed indicates the amount of the part may vary and/or is not a whole number. Parts can be billed out as nonwhole numbers, including less than 1. If Needed indicates the part is not mandatory. Warranty Status: Eligible under provisions of New Vehicle Limited Warranty (NVLW)/Service Part Warranty (SPW)/Special Service Part (SSP)/Extended Service Plan (ESP) coverage. Limits/policies/prior approvals are not altered by a TSB. NVLW/SPW/SSP/ESP coverage limits are determined by the identified causal part and verified using the OASIS part coverage tool. Labor Times Operation No. Description Time 2021-2022 Bronco: Retrieve DTCs, Inspect And Apply Electrical Grease Following The Service Procedure, Includes Time To Reprogram The CHCM (Can Be Claimed With Operation B, C, And D) 232006A 1.1 Hrs Additional Time To Replace The Stabilizer Disconnect Harness And Front Stabilizer Bar Disconnect (Can Be Claimed With Operation A, C And D) 232006B 1.1 Hrs. Additional Time To Replace The Stabilizer Disconnect Harness And Body Harness (Can Be Claimed With Operation A, B And D) 232006C 0.8 Hrs. Additional Time To Replace The Connector With A Service Pigtail and Replace the CHCM (Can Be Claimed With Operation A, B, And C) 232006D 1.8 Hrs. Repair/Claim Coding Causal Part: 2B325 Condition Code: X2 Service Procedure 1. Is water or corrosion present in any of the following connectors: C1295A, C1295B, C1294A, and/or C1294B? (1). Yes - replace the front stabilizer bar disconnect harness and the front stabilizer bar disconnect, Refer to WSM Section 204-01. Apply electrical grease or equivalent into all 4 connectors. Proceed to Step 2. (2). No - apply electrical grease or equivalent into all 4 connectors. Proceed to Step 2. 2. Is water or corrosion present in either side of connector C1415? (1). Yes - replace the front stabilizer bar disconnect harness and body harness. Apply electrical grease or equivalent into connector C1415. Proceed to Step 3. (2). No - apply electrical grease or equivalent into connector C1415. Proceed to Step 3. 3. Is water or corrosion present in connector C445? (1). Yes - replace connector C445 with a service pigtail kit and the CHCM, Refer to WSM Section 204-01. Apply electrical grease or equivalent into connector C445. Proceed to Step 4. (2). No - apply electrical grease or equivalent into connector C445. Proceed to Step 4. 4. Reprogram the CHCM using the latest software version of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool. © 2023 Ford Motor Company All rights reserved.
