Technical Background
Some Model Year 2022 and 2023 Atlas vehicles built with EVAP canisters from supplier Leehan have been identified
having EVAP leaks due to manufacturing defects.
Service
Note:
Standard Guided Fault Finding process must still be followed for any EVAP leak diagnosis!
When performing a leak test for EVAP leak faults during Guided Fault Finding, pay close attention to the following
areas; EVAP leaks have been commonly found on the EVAP canister assembly, including (but not limited to) the
areas shown in the example pictures below (Figures 1, 2, and 3).
Soapy water may be used to assist in finding these leaks when the system is pressurized.
