Service Technical Information 257/22 ENU 4407 4 Modified Wrench Size of the Wheel Bolts (257/22) Model Line: 718 Cayman/Boxster (982) 911 (992) Taycan (Y1A/Y1B/Y1C) Panamera (971) Macan (95B) Cayenne (9YA/9YB) Model Year: As of 2022 Concerns: Wheel bolts Cause: On the vehicles mentioned, modified wheel bolts were used in series production from the date specified below. The wrench size of the wheel bolts was reduced from 19 mm to 17 mm and the surface coating was adapted. Information Please note that mixing wheel bolts with a wrench size of 17 mm and 19 mm is not permitted. If there is a need for replacement, the wheel bolt corresponding to the original delivery specification must be procured again. Please ensure that the tool kit and the rim lock match the original delivery specifications for the vehicle when replacements are required. Information Wheel bolts with a wrench size of 17 mm or 19 mm are given the same tightening torque analogue to the relevant Workshop Manual.
