Model(s) Year VIN Range Vehicle-Specific Equipment All Not Applicable e-tron Sportback 2020 – 2022 quattro e-tron quattro 2021 – 2022 e-tron S quattro 2022 Condition Customer states: • Fault message “Drive System Malfunction” appears in the driver information center. Workshop findings: • The following DTC may be stored engine control module (ECM), J623 (address word 0001): DTC P060C00 “Internal Control Module Main Processor Performance” With one of the following Symptom codes: 38462, 39721, 32061, 32326, 40870, 29391. Technical Background Software issue in engine control unit (diagnostic address 0001). Production Solution Improved software in production. Service SVM Update Instructions 1. Follow all instructions in TSB 2011732: 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions. 2. Update the Engine Electronics Control Unit (J623) using the SVM action code as listed in the table below, if necessary. To prevent the high-voltage battery from charging during the software update, the high-voltage charging cable on vehicles with high-voltage components must be unplugged BEFORE the SVM code is entered.
