Cause The transmission uid leak may be uid remaining in the top pockets of the trans assembly due to incomplete cleaning during assembly, and/or may be an over ll concern resulting in a uid leak from the vent/ ll cap, that now may be seen underneath the vehicle. Correction: Check vehicle build date. If between May 1, 2022 and November 30 2022, then clean any transmission uid seen, adjust uid level to ensure is at the correct level, and install dye and road test to re-check for completed repair. If not within build dates, then proceed with Service Manual Fluid Leak diagnosis. * Note* If leak is found to be from an axle seal, note where the leak is from, axle seal to case, or rubber to axle, picture if possible to attach to the RO, and/or to the TAC case, if a TAC case is opened. Warranty Information For vehicles repaired under the Powertrain coverage, use the following labor operation. Reference the Applicable Warranties section of Investigate Vehicle History (IVH) for coverage information. Labor Operation 8480958 Description Labor Time Clean residual transmission uid. Add dye and road test a minimum of 15 miles to get transmission uid 0.8 Hrs. temperature to operating temperature. Use black light to inspect for dye.
