Technical Service Bulletin 97 Vehicle does not start; warning in cluster "Engine/power unit start system: fault". DTC B114815 is stored 97 23 93 2069999/1 April 17, 2023. Model(s) Year A3, S3, and RS 3 2022 – 2023 VIN Range Vehicle-Specific Equipment All Not Applicable Condition Customer states: The vehicle does not start. The message “Engine start system: fault” or “Power unit start system: fault” appears in the instrument cluster. Workshop findings: The following DTC is stored statically or intermittently in the onboard supply control, J519 (address word 0009): • DTC B114815: Terminal 15 open circuit/short circuit to B+ • Various terminal 15 DTCs may also be stored. Technical Background Hardware conflict within the onboard supply control, J519 (address word 0009). Production Solution Not Applicable Service If the customer concern and DTC match as stated above, replace onboard supply control unit J519 (diagnostic address 0009). Reference the TSB number in the claim comments.
