IF YOU CONFIRM
The seat track latching pawls for a front seat (left or right) are not synchronized.

The inboard track latches, but the outboard track does not latch unless the seat is
pushed/pulled into position.
HINT: The customer may report the following if this issue should occur:

The seat track seems loose when braking or accelerating.

The seat track is difficult to lock in place.

After adjusting the seat track, it shifts/locks into place while driving.
ACTION
Adjust/synchronize the outboard seat track following the SERVICE PROCEDURE in this
bulletin.

SERVICE PROCEDURE
HINT: The driver (LH) side seat is shown in this SERVICE PROCEDURE. The passenger
(RH) side seat is similar.
1.
Move the seat to the rearward
position.

Using a suitable tool, release the
pawls and open the front outboard
seat track mounting bolt cover.
3.
Loosen, don’t remove, the front
outboard seat track mounting bolt.

4.
Move the seat to the forward position.

5.
Using a suitable tool, release the
pawls and open the rear outboard seat
track mounting bolt cover.
6.
Loosen, do not remove, the rear
outboard seat track mounting bolt.

7.
Adjust the seat and outboard track as needed to ensure track adjustment pawls are
synchronized (they lock at the same time on both sides).

Tap the outboard seat track forward or backward as needed.

By hand, move the seat cushion as needed.

Once the seat tracks are synchronized, torque the outboard seat track mounting bolts.

9.
Bolt torque: 45 N•m (4.6 kg-m, 33 ft-lb)
Snap the outboard seat track mounting bolt covers into the closed position.
