Some customers may comment on more than one of the following issues:
Condition
- Adaptive cruise inoperative (if equipped)
- Lane Keep Assist inoperative
- Gap adjust switch inoperative
- IntelliBeam / Auto High Beam inoperative
- In some cases, the Amber Collision Icon is illuminated
When checking for DTCs, no related DTCs will be found. In addition, when trying to perform a front
view camera learn, error messages will be displayed in GDS2 and the learn can not be completed.
Cause
The cause of these concerns could be an internal fault with the B174W Front View Windshield Camera.
Correction:
If no root cause is found after performing normal SI diagnostics and you are experiencing the above conditions, then use GDS2 to
check the Frontview Camera Calibration Part Numbers 2 and 3. Connect GDS2 and build as follows: Diagnostics / Module
Diagnostics / B174W Frontview Camera Windshield / Identi cation Information. Next, check Calibration Part Numbers 2 and 3 for
displaying all "0", as shown below. If Calibration Part Numbers 2 and 3 show all "0", as shown below, then replace the B174W Front
View Windshield Camera. If Calibration Part Numbers 2 and 3 indicate something other than all "0”, then continue with normal SI
diagnostics, as the issue in this PI is not the root cause.
