The purpose of this bulletin is to inform the network about the set criteria and the possible repair actions of
the DTC P0604-00 (only vehicles equipped with Bosch MG1 ECU).
MODELS:
• Grecale (M182) (all MYs, from MY23 on)
• MC20 (M240) (all MYs, from MY22 on)
• Granturismo M189 (all models and MYs)
SECTION: 01.90 - 1 ELECTRONIC CONTROL: INJECTION AND ENGINE TIMING CONTROL
SUBJECT: ECM - DTC 060400 (P0604-00) - Internal Control Module Random Access Memory (RAM) Error.
CUSTOMER IMPACT: Check Engine light ON (if the DTC is active).
ROOT CAUSE:
DTC stored (grey): misdetection due to wrong ECM hardware reading during key ON initialization of
the ECM. This can happen at every “key on”, and after a flash. No real hardware issue is present.

DTC active (red): if the fault does not change into “stored” status, an ECM hardware issue is possibly
present.
ACTIONS:
DTC stored (grey): the fault can be deleted. After clearing the DTC, switch the ignition OFF and keep it
OFF for at least 12 minutes. A shorter period could set the DTC again.

DTC active (red): if the fault does not change into “stored” status, open a BOL as “Support Request”.
