Tip:
To avoid engine damage when working on the valvetrain, both camshafts must be locked in place according to
the repair manual, see repair group 15 in Elsa.
Scenario 1: Valve timing incorrect
 If one or more of the above faults are stored in the engine control unit, check the valve timing according to the
repair manual, see repair group 15 in Elsa.
 If the valve timing is incorrect, adjust it according to the repair manual.
Scenario 2: Valve timing correct
 If the valve timing is correct, replace the control valve in the camshaft positioner (N205), Part Number: 03L
906 455, according to the repair manual, see repair group 15 in Elsa.
Tip:
When changing the control valve, the engine should be held at TDC.
 Change the engine oil and filter.
