Customer states:
There is NO customer complaint as no functions or other electrical vehicle systems have any restrictions.
Workshop findings:
During PDI, maintenance, service visit, or a reset of terminal 30, the following DTC (static/intermittent) is logged in
the data bus diagnostic interface -J533- (diagnostic address 0019):
• DTC U164300: Ethernet Rearview Camera System Control Module no communication (symptom code
2494569).
Technical Background
Communication deviation in reversing camera control unit -J772- (diagnostic address 006C).
Production Solution
Not Applicable
Service
This DTC does not lead to a restricted function or a message in the instrument cluster. In this case, the rearview
camera will continue to operate normally and this DTC should not be considered a problem.

Technical Service Bulletin
• If there are no customer concerns and the RVC system operates normally, this fault should be ignored.
• If there is a customer concern for an RVC function, this DTC should only be considered a last resort in
diagnosis. In this case, another root cause is likely. Continue with normal diagnosis.
Note:
Replacing the reversing camera -J772- or the data bus diagnostic interface -J533- will NOT clear this DTC, even if
recommended by Guided Fault Finding.
