OVERVIEW:
After a re-calibration of a Cummins Engine ECU, DTC
2222 Fuel Level (Main Tank) Sensor Circuit Voltage Above Normal or Shorted to High Source
may set in the engine ECU. This is likely the result of a
re-calibration event where the Save / Restore
Adjustable Parameters selection was not checked
during the re-calibration using Cummins INSITE.
IMPORTANT
•
Reference Cummins Training Course ID 1398
INSITE Programming located in Cummins
QuickServe Online prior to any re-calibration.
•
Only perform a Cummins Engine ECU re-calibration
under the following conditions (per Cummins):
1. When requested by a Cummins Service Engineer
2. When mandated by a Cummins Engineering
Bulletin
3. When a Fault Code indicates that a
re-calibration is required
1. Prior to any Cummins ECU re-calibration, it is
important to create a template in INSITE of the engine
ECU, this can be referenced later in the event the Hino
Adjustable Parameters are lost. Reference Cummins
training and QuickServe Online to learn how to create
a template.
2. To avoid loss of Hino Set Parameters during a
Cummins ECU re-calibration, it is important to select
Save / Restore Adjustable Parameters shown in the
screen below. Once selected, proceed with recalibration by following Cummins INSITE instructions.
