Bulletin No.: PIP5920 Published date: 05/3/2023 Preliminary Information PIP5920 Ticking Noise From Engine 5.5L RPO LT6 Models Brand: Chevrolet Model: VIN: Model Years: Corvette 2023 from All to All Engine: 5.5L LT6 Transmissions: All Involved Region or Country North America A customer may have a concern that may be described as a ticking or tapping noise from the upper end of the engine. Condition Cause It may also be found that the noise is most noticeable at idle with engine at operating temperature. Under Investigation Correction: Compare the concern with the sound le in this PI. (SOUND FILE HERE) The sound le can be accessed in the SI version of this PI or in the attachments section below. If the noise has been determined to be the same as what is in the attached sound recording: At this time the concern is under engineering investigation, once a repair has been established this PI will be updated or changed to a bulletin. No durability issues have been identi ed with this concern and customer can drive the vehicle until a repair is available. If the noise has been determined to NOT be the same as what is in the attached sound recording, please review the latest version of PIP5869 for a list of serviceable components in conjunction with following SI diagnostics.
