Warranty Extension: 2013-2019 RLX Rear Toe Control Actuators
Today, June 9, 2023, Acura is announcing a warranty extension for certain 2013-2019 RLX vehicles. Acura is extending the warranty coverage for the rear toe control
(RTC) actuators on these vehicles to 10 years from the original date of purchase with no mileage limitation.
To further ensure client satisfaction and confidence, certain 2013 and 2014 RLX vehicles will be covered under this warranty extension until January 31, 2024, even though
some currently fall outside of its 10-year term.
BACKGROUND
Due to manufacturing errors, abnormal noise may be heard from the rear when driving straight or making small side-to-side turning movements with the steering wheel.
The MIL may also illuminate with DTC C1600-94 (PAWS unexpected behavior) and/or C1611-13/C1621-13 (PAWS actuator disconnection L&R).
REPAIR
Follow the diagnostic steps outlined in service bulletins 23-021 and 23-022 to determine if the vehicle qualifies for this repair. For vehicles that qualify, replace the RTC
actuators as outlined in the service bulletins.
PARTS
Parts are available through the normal ordering process.
TOOLS
There are no special tools needed for this campaign.

These two Service Bulletins supporting this warranty extension have posted to the Service Information System (SIS) as of June 9, 2023:
23-021, Warranty Extension: Moaning or Rubbing Noise from P-AWS RTC Actuators and/or P-AWS Indicator On With DTC C1600-94, C1611-13, or
C1621-13 (Expires 01/31/24): This bulletin covers certain affected 2013-14 RLX vehicles from now until January 31, 2024.
23-022, Warranty Extension:
Moaning or Rubbing Noise from P-AWS RTC Actuators and/or P-AWS Indicator On With DTC C1600-94, C1611-13, or
C1621-13: This bulletin covers affected RLX vehicles for 10 years.
