Customer states:
The instrument cluster message “Lane departure warning fault” appears when the vehicle is started.
Workshop findings:
The following DTCs are stored in the steering control unit J500 (address 0044):
• U13D500: Function restriction, directional stabilization assistance (Symptom code 15872).
• C135DF1: Power steering control module does not implement request (Symptom code 17920).
Technical Background
The DTCs above described stored in the J500 do not affect the functionality of the vehicle and/or the lane assist
system, these DTCs are unlikely to occur again.
No repair is necessary if the DTCs (U13D500, C135DF1) are stored in the control unit J500.

If only the DTCs described above are stored in address 0044, do not perform any repair work.
Clear DTCs and release the vehicle.
