2 Bulletin #: 2313 Advanced Technical Information Part ID: 2470 9YA, 9YB – E3.II Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Minimum Mileage Requirement before Customer Delivery Vehicles Affected Models Model Year Model Type VIN Range Vehicle-Specific Equipment Cayenne 2024 9YA, 9YB N/A N/A Revision History Revision Release Date Changes 0 June 23, 2023 Original document Condition DME control unit requires > 31 miles of operation prior to customer delivery. Within 31 miles, it is possible for the vehicle to execute a shift request from Drive (D) to Park (P) unprompted from the driver if ‘Start/Stop’ and ‘Hold’ functions are activated. Once the odometer mileage exceeds 32 miles, this DME issue is eliminated and the function is per design. Technical Background DME function responsible for monitoring and controlling vehicle drive readiness requires 50 km after production for drive functions like the ‘Start/Stop’ and ‘Hold’ functions to work as intended. Should the aforementioned condition occur that the vehicle unexpectedly shifts to ‘Park’ without an operator prompt, then simply use the transmission’s selector lever to shift to Drive to continue driving. For this reason, the PDI inspection checklist for the affected vehicles includes this requirement as shown below: Figure 1 AfterSales June 23, 2023 Page 1 of 2 Bulletin #: 2313 Advanced Technical Information Part ID: 2470 2 Service Information Drive vehicle in accordance with PDI instruction to ensure at least 32 miles are on the odometer prior to customer delivery.
