ProPILOT mode.
*****What Dealers Should Do*****
PLEASE FOLLOW THE ATTACHED INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this quality action using Service Comm or DBS National
Service History – Open Campaigns I.D. P3A02
• New vehicles in dealer inventory can also be identified using DBS (Sales-> Vehicle
Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign).
 Refer to NPSB 15-460 for additional information
• Please continue to check newly arriving inventory for campaign applicability.
2.
Use the attached procedure to remedy any vehicles affected by this quality action prior
to sale.
3.
Parts for this quality action are on restriction and can be ordered through DBS. Use the
VIN and EPC to determine the correct steering wheel part number.
4.
Once remedied, dealers should submit the applicable warranty claim for the action
performed so it can be closed in Service Comm and release the vehicle for sale.
***** Dealer Responsibility *****
It is the dealer’s responsibility to check Service Comm or DBS National Service History – Open
Campaign using the appropriate campaign ID for the inspection status on each affected vehicle

and wait for 3 minutes or more (discharges electricity held in the additional
power supply circuit of the air bag diagnosis sensor unit). Refer to Precautions
for Removing Battery Terminal.
 Always work from the side of air bag module. Never work in front of it.
 Never use air tools or electric tools for servicing.

After installing the connector, check that the lock is pushed securely into it.
Always place the driver air bag module with pad side facing upward.

