In most cases, the noise can be duplicated when making full left and then full right turns, at slow speeds, in an open parking lot. This noise may sound like it is from the front of the vehicle, but it is coming from the rear. Cause The cause of this noise could be a loose rear sway bar link upper mounting bolt/nut, shown below. Correction: Inspect the rear sway bar link upper mounting bolts/nuts for proper torque and if necessary torque to 74 lb. ft. (100 Nm).
