Classification: Reference: EL23-018 Date: NTB23-058 July 19, 2023 DTE INACCURATE WHEN FILLING FUEL TANK FROM 3/4 TO CAPACITY APPLIED VEHICLES: APPLIED DATES: 2023 Frontier (D41) Built on or before June 16, 2023 IF YOU CONFIRM The customer states that the Distance to Empty (DTE) does not accurately represent the correct DTE, when the fuel tank is at ¾ full and then filled to capacity. ACTION Replace the Combination Meter. IMPORTANT: The purpose of ACTION (above) is to give you a quick idea of the work you will be performing. You MUST closely follow the entire SERVICE PROCEDURE as it contains information that is essential to successfully completing this repair. Bulletins are intended for use by qualified technicians, not 'do-it-yourselfers'. Qualified technicians are properly trained individuals who have the equipment, tools, safety instruction, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. NOTE: If you believe that a described condition may apply to a particular vehicle, DO NOT assume that it does. See your Nissan dealer to determine if this applies to your vehicle. 1/3 SERVICE PROCEDURE 1. Order a new Combination Meter by VIN through Model Electronics. 2. See PARTS INFORMATION below. Install the new Combination Meter into the vehicle. Refer to the ESM: DRIVER INFORMATION & MULTIMEDIA > METER, WARNING LAMP & INDICATOR > REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > COMBINATION METER > Removal and Installation IMPORTANT: o Do not swap Combination Meters between vehicles for any reason. When replacing the Combination Meter, always replace it with a new one. The functions controlled by the Combination Meter will not operate properly if reused from another vehicle. o When replacing the Combination Meter, perform "ADDITIONAL SERVICE WHEN REPLACING COMBINATION METER". o Do not damage the display. PARTS INFORMATION (1) DESCRIPTION PART NUMBER QUANTITY Combination Meter (1) 1 Order Combination Meter through Model Electronics (www.modelelectronics.com) as part of your normal business practice. Provide requested information to ensure the new Combination Meter (odometer) has the correct mileage. CLAIMS INFORMATION Submit a Primary Part (PP) type line claim using the following claims coding: (1) (2) DESCRIPTION PFP OP CODE SYM DIA FRT Replace Combination Meter (1) RB10AA ZE 32 (2) Reference the electronic parts catalog and use the Combination Meter Assembly as the Primary Failed Part (PFP).
