Classification: EL23-009 Reference: Date: NTB23-060 July 28, 2023 WIRELESS CHARGING PAD HAS INTERMITTENT OPERATION WITH APPLE IPHONE 12 OR NEWER APPLIED VEHICLES: 2023 ARIYA (FE0) IF YOU CONFIRM The customer states that the wireless charging pad will not completely charge an Apple iPhone 12 or newer, or the wireless charging pad stops charging an Apple iPhone 12 or newer after approximately 15 seconds. ACTION Follow the steps in the SERVICE PROCEDURE below to: 1. Confirm the current Wireless Charger Control Unit part number. 2. Reprogram the Wireless Charger Control Unit, if applicable. IMPORTANT: The purpose of ACTION (above) is to give you a quick idea of the work you will be performing. You MUST closely follow the entire SERVICE PROCEDURE as it contains information that is essential to successfully completing this repair. Bulletins are intended for use by qualified technicians, not 'do-it-yourselfers'. Qualified technicians are properly trained individuals who have the equipment, tools, safety instruction, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. NOTE: If you believe that a described condition may apply to a particular vehicle, DO NOT assume that it does. See your Nissan dealer to determine if this applies to your vehicle. 1/9 SERVICE PROCEDURE IMPORTANT: Before starting, make sure ASIST on the CONSULT PC has been synchronized (updated) to the current date. 1. Put the vehicle in READY mode. 2. Confirm that the CONSULT PC is connected to Wi-Fi. 3. Connect the Vehicle Interface (VI) to the vehicle. 4. Start CONSULT-4 on the CONSULT PC. 5. If prompted, select USA/CANADA Dealers from the drop-down menu, and then select OK. 6. Login using your NNAnet credentials. IMPORTANT: If not prompted to enter your username and password, the CONSULT PC may not be connected to Wi-Fi. Close CONSULT-4, confirm the CONSULT PC is connected to Wi-Fi, and then reopen CONSULT-4. 7. Wait for the VI to be recognized. 8. Wait for all the modules under Tool menu to load during the system call process. Figure 1 2/9 NTB23-060 9. Select Vehicle reprogramming. Figure 2 3/9 NTB23-060 10. Find the Current part number of the Wireless Charger ECU (WL CHG) and write it on the repair order. If the Current part number matches one of the part numbers in the CURRENT WIRELESS CHARGER PART NUMBER column of Table 1, proceed to step 11 on page 5. If the Current part number does not match one of the part numbers in the CURRENT WIRELESS CHARGER PART NUMBER column of Table 1, this bulletin does not apply. Return to ASIST for further diagnostic and repair information.
